In 2017, the former band Ceremony was formed. Immediately after forming, they held their first live performance as a one-man show, attracting over 100 people, and their first CD "Lust For Life / So High" was a hit despite being self-produced, selling over 300 copies. While independently releasing audio recordings, they started "iconostasis," an independent project featuring alternative bands, musicians, and DJs performing without borders at the Shimokitazawa BASEMENTBAR and THREE. The event has continued to be held about twice a year up to the present. In 2019, they changed their name to Strip Joint to avoid confusion with the band of the same name, and released the 7-inch single "Like A Storm" on BLACK HOLE while supporting tours to Japan by international artists such as First Hate and Frankie Cosmos, which created a buzz. In 2021, the band returned to its roots and released "Hike" and "Night Kings" on their own for their first works as a six-piece. These songs were the catalyst for the production of their first album. In 2022, their first album "Give Me Liberty" was released from KiliKiliVilla. They performed at "Groovetube Fes" with Sunny Day Service, and also appeared at "Boro Festa" in Kyoto. In 2023, while working on their second album, they appeared as a guest on the "DYGL JAPAN TOUR 2023" at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO, and has been actively engaged in production and live performances, including joint party with VINCE;NT, "VCSJ".
